Rhode Is Releasing A New Peptide Lip Treatment Flavor & It’s Perfect For Summertime

Drop whatever you’re doing, besties — she’s done it again. rhode is officially dropping a new skincare product, just in time for me to impulse shop. I may be a broke college student, but this is just too good to pass up. I mean, after seeing founder Hailey Bieber’s viral glazed donut nails, I knew she had good taste. I’d trust the girl with my skincare routine (and my lipcare, too!).

Among rhode’s most popular products are the peptide glazing fluid ($29), barrier restore cream ($29), and of course, their peptide lip treatments ($16).

The lip treatment has been a fan favorite for a while — it even won a 2022 Allure Best of Beauty Award! Described as a restorative lip layer “for naturally plump, pillowy-soft lips,” I’m already sold. It can be used as a moisturizing base before you apply lipstick or lip liners. Bonus points for being vegan, cruelty-free, and gluten-free. And with a rating of 4.6 stars from almost 5,000 users, you already know it’s going to be good.

The treatment currently comes in the flavors like Watermelon Slice, Salted Caramel, and Unscented. And lucky for us, we’re getting a brand new limited-time flavor: Passionfruit jelly.

On March 29, rhode announced its newest peptide lip treatment in the flavor to be released on April 6. To say I’m excited is an understatement. And, lucky for us, the product is safe for all skin types. Described as smelling like “A sweet, tangy passionfruit popsicle,” I’m actually drooling.

The application process couldn’t be easier. According to the product description, the “rhode rule” is to apply a thick layer of the treatment and then let it sit for 10 minutes before wiping off any excess product.

If you’re not familiar with her skincare brand, Bieber developed rhode back in June 2022. The brand’s mission is “mindful skincare,” which is their way of making products that are simple and affordable. The company works with a cosmetic chemist and dermatologist, so you don’t have to worry about the harsh chemicals from other skincare products. The company is also devoted to women’s health, and values accessibility. It’s a yes from me.

Beyond their popular products, rhode has partnered with three organizations to invest in women through The Rhode Futures Foundation. The organizations include Black Mamas Matter Alliance, Inc. (BMMA), LIFT (a non-profit for low-income families), and Accion Opportunity Fun (support for small businesses run by immigrants, women, and people of color). So rest assured, you can shop ethically.

You won’t be able to get your hands on the exclusive flavor until April 6, but you can head to rhode’s website to make sure you’re one of the first people to get it by joining their waitlist. Until then, catch me buying this lip treatment in every flavor available.
