Nike’s Valentine’s Day 2023 Air Force 1s Have Me *Swooning*

Every year, Nike creates Valentine’s Day-themed Air Force 1s, and the 2023 editions have to be some of the cutest yet. Complete with Valentine’s Day’s signature colors of red and pink and a more vintage-looking appearance, the adult version of the shoes are perfect for any lovestruck sneakerhead. The white is more of a cream, and the shoes have a ‘70s-inspired detail — heart-shaped cherries on the swoosh. After all, no Valentine’s Day-themed wardrobe piece is complete without hearts. They also have smaller heart details on the sides of the shoe and on the Nike logo on the tongue.

There’s also a different version of the 2023 sneaker for kids. The toddler, preschool, and grade school AF1 shoes are more of a bright white with bold pink and red elements, and they feature a unique 3D detail on the signature swoosh —  a sprinkle of pink hearts. There’s also an adorable pink heart on the shoe’s tongue that looks like one of those conversation heart candies. The inside of the shoe is also just as cute, with pink soles and the red Nike logo.

Both pairs of shoes are far more dynamic than, say, the adult 2021 Valentine’s Day edition. Those shoes featured a dusty rose colorway and ruby red swoosh without any hearts or major Valentine’s Day-inspired details.

With the central theme of Nike’s limited edition AF1s being more about love than Valentine’s Day, these can easily work all year round. Wear them as a statement piece with a simple outfit, like jeans and a white T-shirt or a casual LBD.

These sneaks would also work great to tie together an outfit that has red or pink in it, especially if it’s a top. (That way, you add some distance between the bold colors, just in case they aren’t the exact same shade.) Try a denim skirt for a more feminine flare, or jeans for a more casual look.

Though the release date of the Valentine’s Day sneakers hasn’t been announced yet, fans can expect them to drop in February of this year. Set your alarms for these — they’re sure to fly off the shelves quickly.
