Everything You Need for the Ultimate Girls’ Night & Chill

This is a sponsored feature. All opinions are 100% from Her Campus.

Staying in with your squad is sometimes way better than going out, and after a long, exhausting week of homework and classes, a girls’ night and chill is exactly what you need! We’ve compiled our best tips and products for hosting the ultimate girls’ night in, because tonight’s all about the ladies (re: drinks, beauty and lots of gossip). What are you waiting for? Let’s get started!

1. Prep your space

AdultingStickers

Spruce up your hangout space by adding decorations that set the mood and aesthetic. To pull off a cozy boho vibe, just grab a few cheap bouquets, spread out your fave style and beauty magazines and hang up some twinkle lights. Easy, and totally next level!

For a décor add-on that doubles as a party favor, make sure to set out a few of Her Campus’s Adulting Achievement Unlocked Sticker Sheets. Not only are they très chic, but your squad can add them to their water bottles and laptops while you hang. Let’s be real, they’ll come for the girls’ night, but stay for the stickers.

2. Get bubbly

Trade in that cheap champagne for some cute cocktails and mocktails of your own invention. Our go-to base is Spindrift Sparkling Water, combined with a sweet juice to top it off, or a light alcohol like gin or tequila if you’re feeling boozy. Spindrift is great because it’s made with real fruit, and looks gorg poured over ice. Top it with slices of fruit for an Instagram-worthy drink-selfie with your girl gang!

3. Set up a beauty bar

Beauty fluffing is, like, an unspoken requirement for these things, so be sure to set up a beauty bar and get glam with your girls. These are the beauty features you’ll want to focus on:

  • Brows

Brows before bros ~always~, and that’s why your girls’ night beauty bar isn’t complete without a brow station! Set out pencils, powders, spoolys and tons of shades for squad brows on fleek, or if you want one tool that does it all, try IT Cosmetics’ Brow Power Universal Eyebrow Pencil. It’s perfect for thick or thin eyebrows, matches all hair colors and is totally smudge-proof. Need? Need.

  • Eyes

Is it really even a beauty bar if you’re not getting your glow on? Make sure to include some rejuvenating serums and a colorful treat for your eyes like this Ulta Beauty Glitter Eye Topcoat, which comes in eight shades. Adding a little glimmer to the party will leave your friends looking totally refreshed and ready to take on anything after this ladies’ night in!

  • Hair

College stress can do major damage to your locks, so a hair station is crucial for helping your girls recharge their tresses. Set out bobby pins and hair ties for lots of styling fun, plus the Electric Green 1/2” Mini Ceramic Flat Iron and Curlipops™ 1” Tourmaline Ceramic Styling Iron by Bed Head® to sculpt your looks. Take turns playing stylist for shiny, textured, volumized hair, and hold your ’dos with the Bed Head by TIGI Travel Size Masterpiece Shine Hairspray. It’s okay to be a little obsessed with having good hair tonight!

4. Throw in a surprise

Honestly, there’s nothing more fun than getting surprise goodies, so top off your girls’ night and chill with a fun subscription box. We recommend the POPSUGAR Must Have Box because it has over $100 of hand-selected, tested and trusted full-sized products perfect for sharing with your friends. Kick off your night in with an unboxing, and spend the rest of the evening enjoying your new gifts!

5. Binge watch

Bring your night full circle with some fashionable entertainment. Instead of bingeing The Office for the fourth time, tune in to Her Campus’s live stream of College Fashion Week on the Her Campus Facebook page! The fashion event you can’t miss, your squad will feel like they’re practically on the catwalk. Talk about fall fashion ready!

Now that you’ve got all the steps, it’s time to throw the ultimate girls’ night and chill! We hope you have a stellar night, collegiettes––you deserve it.
