Get Inked With These 6 Super Cute Tattoo Ideas

While tattoos can sometimes be seen as a taboo topic, I am a huge advocate for them. Personally, I view tattoos as reminders of periods of our lives or who we are: they are permanent pieces on our bodies that we can look at and feel a certain way about. For some people, tattoos are associated with stories or a particular memory. However, for others, tattoos can be completely meaningless—just cute. And there’s nothing wrong with that!

From flowers and leaves to mythical creatures, here are 6 simplistic, random, and cute tattoos ideas that you can get inked up with next.

1. Food, But Make It Cute

I know we all have some food that we love more than others and getting them tattooed on your body is a cute way to commemorate it. Think: Miley Cyrus’s cute avocado tattoo (RIP), or Ashley Benson’s milkshake ink. Cute fruits like watermelons and strawberries can also be a fun idea for some randomly-adorable body ink. Who knows, a strawberry tat could make you feel like you’re living your best cottagecore life, even if you’re in the halls of your dorm.

2. Flora & Fauna

I don’t know about you, but I’ve always found flowers and nature so beautiful. Similarly, sometimes that’s all the justification you need to get a tattoo: you just thought it was pretty. Thankfully, there are lots of unique flowers or plants you can get tattooed. You can get a single leaf, a bouquet of flowers and plants, or even an entire sleeve of flora and fauna. By having flower or plant tattoos, you can have your own personal garden with you wherever you go without the daily responsibility of having to water it and worrying about keeping it alive (well, don’t forget your tattoo aftercare!).

3. mythical creatures

I think that we can all agree that the world would be a much more exciting place if the mythical creatures we heard so much about as children were real. While (as far as we know) those creatures sadly don’t exist, that doesn’t mean we can’t bring them into existence by tattooing them on your body. Some examples of mythical creatures you can get are a dragon, a unicorn, a mermaid, or a fairy. These tattoos can be cartoonish and cute like Ariana Grande’s Pokemon ink, or detailed and realistic like Nadine Lustre’s arm tattoo. Regardless, this tattoo can bring a bit of fantasy into your everyday life, and who doesn’t want that?

4. A crown

Chances are that you either grew up loving princesses or wanting to be a princess. If that’s the case, you can use a tattoo as a way to bring out your inner child, or your inner royalty. Since there are different types of crowns, you have a wide range of designs to choose from. It’s the perfect tattoo for those days when you want to go back to the simpler times when you could live out all your fantasies without having to worry about any responsibilities, or days when you need to remind yourself about the true royalty you are!

5. stars, moons, and suns

There’s a type of peace that comes when it’s dark out and you find yourself looking at the stars. It shows how vast the world is and it’s also something that’s constant for everyone. Not to mention, the stars, moon, and sun are all extremely beautiful things, so why not get them tattooed? With a cosmic tattoo, the possibilities are as endless as the sky: you can get your favorite constellation, a simple sun or moon, or even your astrological sign. Similarly, you can even get a dainty cosmic tattoo with small stars, tiny planets, and other celestial objects to create your own galaxy in ink.

6. A butterfly

When I was younger, I thought that butterflies were absolutely beautiful. As I’ve gotten older, though, I’ve discovered a newfound appreciation for them. Butterflies make for a gorgeous tattoo: even if it’s a simple fine-line tat, it’s still sure to stand out. If you do want to add some symbolism to your tattoo, some butterflies or colors of butterflies have different meanings that you can apply to your life. Or maybe, you just want to live your Harry Styles butterfly tattoo fantasy. No matter what butterfly you go with, it’s sure to look wonderful!

Whether you love getting tattoos or are unsure if you want one, I hope these tattoos gave you an idea of what you could get. Before getting inked, it’s important to remember that your tattoo is something that you, want since it’s going to be on your body and no one else’s. So, whether you’re getting a dainty bouquet of flowers or some sick dragon ink, get that tattoo for you…and tag us on IG when you do! Happy tattooing!
