These Black-Owned Lingerie Brands Have The Cutest (& Spiciest) Lingerie Pieces For V-Day

Nothing is better than a drawer full of cute bras and undies that bring about confidence every time you wear them. And let’s be honest, how many pieces in your drawer could use a refresh? Enter: Lingerie. In honor of Black History Month, and in the spirit of Valentine’s Day, consider shopping for lingerie from a new, Black-owned brand. Some of these Black-owned brands might be all over your FYP like Lizzo’s brand Yitty or Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty, others are smaller or based in the UK, but inspire the same confidence and beauty.

Whether you are looking for something bold and sensual for Valentine’s Day or basic and comfy for everyday life, these brands have super cute (and quality) pieces. If you are looking to support a Black-owned business and find the cutest, most inclusive pieces, check out some of my favorite Black-owned brands and get your credit cards ready, ’cause these are an instant add to cart — for the month of February and beyond.

Savage X Fenty

Now, we cannot talk about Black-owned lingerie without talking about Rihanna’s brand, Savage X Fenty. This lace bodysuit (Savage X Fenty, $75) comes in sizes XS to 4X and has a lined chest, making it perfect for something sexy or a night out. The company has everything from lingerie to PJs and activewear. And for additional inclusivity, they feature a men’s line with sizes from XS to 4X. “

Savage X means making your own rules and expressing your mood, character, and style for you — not for someone else,” says Rihanna on the brand’s website. Here for it!

Yitty

Who isn’t obsessed with Lizzo and her confidence? The queen of the flute’s shapewear brand Yitty features dozens of designs from activewear, everyday bras, shapewear, and more. This shaping bodysuit (Yitty, $75) comes in neutrals and fun shades like neon yellow and comes in sizes XS to 6X. Lizzo said she felt that she wanted to be challenged to create a brand that let women feel unapologetically confident.

Love, Vera

This bubblegum pink set (Love, Vera, $130)  is adorable with its bright color and embroidered hearts, it’s the perfect set for Valentine’s day. Love, Vera features inclusive sizing with bras from 32D to 40DDD, panties from XS to 4XL and almost every set is available in curvy as well. The brand features black models of all sizes celebrating all different kinds of beauty. The brand describes that they see beauty that comes in all shapes and sizes.

IHUOMA

The brand’s website says to “luxuriate in your melanin” and these divine designs are certainly luxurious using a mix of silk, French tulle, and gorgeous detailing. The divine feminine collection features this stunning bralette (IHUOMA, $150) with gorgeous gold detailing and brown beading. The brand name IHUOMA means ‘I am Fortune, I am Favored, I am Love’ according to their website. According to the website the embroidery was designed by founder Annabelle Mu’azu and her daughter, A’isha to pay homage to the Egyptian Ankh, which is said to represent vivaciousness, loving energy, and life.

Nude Barre

These bras (nude barre, $35)  and panties honestly look so comfy and come in a range of shades, which are all labeled as a time of day, which is just so cute. If you aren’t sure what shades work best, you can order a swatch book before you commit. Founder Erin Carpenter created the brand after years of being a dancer and having to dye her own tights and paint her pointe shoes with foundation to match her skin tone. Their shade range is a huge part of the brand striving to be inclusive for all people, who they lovingly call “hu(e)mans” on their site.
