Hello again lovely readers! The holiday season is officially upon us and Thanksgiving is this week! With that being said, I wanted to give you guys a quick how-to with this holiday ham recipe. These are the ingredients my mom uses for it every holiday, and I can assure you it is amazing. Plus, you can use an already cooked and pre-sliced ham which means this will be stress free and easy if you’re not kitchen savvy! Here are the things you will need:

  • 1 pan of your choosing
  • Aluminum foil
  • 1 pair of tongs
  • 1 kitchen knife
  • 1 spoon
  • 1 pre-cooked & sliced ham
  • 1 can of Pepsi
  • 1 to 1½ cup of brown sugar (don’t quote me on that part… I just use my gut instinct)

Let’s now get into how to pull this recipe off:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. You can set it to 350 degrees as well, but it will just take a bit longer.
  1. Grab your pan and line it with aluminum foil, following up by placing the ham inside it.
  1. Next, you need to take your brown sugar and rub it on top of the ham. Make sure to get into the creases where the slices are. Now again I want to reiterate this…if you feel like you need more brown sugar depending on the size ham you get (I doubled the amount that I used for a half of ham), then by all means go for it.
  1. Once you are finished, take your can of Pepsi and pour it all over the ham. You then cover the ham with more foil and place it into the oven.
  1. Heat the ham for approximately 45 minutes and baste it using your spoon with the Pepsi in the bottom of the pan.
  1. Once the 45 minutes are up, remove the ham from the oven and using your tongs and knife, slice all the way through the ham to separate the slices completely.

That’s really all there is to it guys. See, I told you it would be easy! I hope this inspires you guys to try this at your family’s Thanksgiving dinner. Possibly, you may be celebrating a Friendsgiving, which this recipe is perfect for as well. You guys can even enjoy a great holiday drink while making this. If that entices you, check out our very own Kelly Wilson’s article on Fun Starbucks Holiday Drink Combinations. I hope you all have a wonderful and peaceful Thanksgiving filled with fun memories. Until next time!
