Let’s start off with 4 interesting facts that many people don’t know about you. Tell us about yourself!
I love to travel, I’m always down for an adventure and I love spicy food. I can be pretty funny and outgoing but I’m super shy before I get comfortable with people! I absolutely love dogs but I’ve never had one myself, a lot of people don’t know this cause I’m always posting pictures with my friends dogs lol.
What are some of your hobbies that you do in your free time?
This semester has been super busy for me so I barely have free time on my hands- I love to read, mostly non-fiction. I also watch a lot of Netflix and love exploring new food spots with my friends!
Exploring new food spots is definitely one of my favorite things as well! It’s exciting to find one you like. What are your top three destinations that you want to travel to?
Spain, Trinidad & Tobago and Norway – there’s so much I want to explore, it’s tough to pick just three.
Those sound like great destinations and it is always hard to narrow it down. What’s your favorite place in Toronto?
Queen Street is one of my favorite places cause there’s so much around and so much to do! Also Toronto’s Waterfront, my friends and I used to go there during the summer, grab Chipotle and just talk!
Queen Street in Toronto is definitely a fan favorite here! What is your favourite genre of music? Can you list some of the artists you listen to?
I listen to a lot of R&B, Indie and Soca – I can’t pick a favorite. I’ve been loving Ella Mai and Mahalia lately, but I always go back to my early 2000s playlist!
I listen to most of those genres too! Also, you can never not like Soca. What is your favourite season and why?
I was raised in a tropical country most of my life and I’m not the biggest fan of cold weather, so definitely summer!
What is your biggest pet peeve?
People who say “let’s make plans” when they have no intention of following up.
That is so true! I can totally feel you on that one, it is probably one of my pet peeves too. How would you describe your fashion style?
I think my style is pretty classic and definitely not overly bold – a hoodie and sneakers are always a go-to for me!
Yes girl, you can never go wrong with a casual hoodie & sneakers on a regular day. What are three things you cannot live without everyday (food, technology, etc)?
Coffee, the Internet and my headphones!
It must be fun growing up in a tropical country with the sun on you 24/7! What is one quote or motto that you swear by?
Teach girls to be ‘somebodies’ instead of ‘somebody’s’.
If you could be an animal, which one would you be and why?
A polar bear. I don’t have a reason, I just love polar bears plus they’re beautiful, majestic and huge.
Polar bears are honestly so cute, so I totally understand. Could you list some of the best movies of all time according to you?
10 Things I Hate About You, Mean Girls, Friends With Benefits, The Proposal – I could go on!
Those are some amazing suggestions and of course Mean Girls should be included. Last but not least, what intrigued you to join Her Campus at York? What do you expect to achieve here as a writer or editor?
I love that Her Campus gives me the opportunity to meet like-minded students. I think it’s pretty rad we have this space to express ourselves and voice our thoughts as writers and editors. I can’t wait to share my creative skills with others and most importantly learn too!
