The 70th Emmy Awards recently aired on TV and, as always, it was entertaining to watch. If you didn’t watch the show, here are some of the best moments from the 2018 Emmys.

Kate McKinnon and Kenan Thompson’s Song

Featuring many celebrities and other SNL members, the opening song was fun and full of laughs. It was a great start to the evening.


Glen Weiss Proposing to His Girlfriend

During his acceptance speech, Glen Weiss made Emmy history by proposing to his girlfriend. His heartfelt proposal made the audience melt and it was the feel-good moment of the show.


The Reactions to Regina King’s Win

Regina King was so shocked when she won. Everyone at the Emmy’s was so excited for her, especially Leslie Jones who was extremely ecstatic to read Regina’s name off the letter.


Chrissy Teigen  

The wonderful Chrissy Teigen became a meme, once again, thanks to her hilarious reaction during Colin Jost and Michael Che’s opening monologue.

They had fun while presenting an award and Sandra Oh even recreated the La La Land mistake (on purpose) which got the audience cracking up.

Michael Che gave Emmy awards to black actors who should have won an Emmy back in the day, but didn’t due to the lack of diversity in the Television Academy.


Hannah Gadsby’s Hilarious Spiel

During her presenter speech, Hannah Gadsby made some funny remarks which got the internet to start her campaign to be next year’s Emmy host.


Overall, the Emmys had many incredible artists who work in Television attend the show. They got the recognition they deserved by being nominated or in some cases by winning an award. We can only hope that next year’s show will be even more entertaining and fun to watch.
