With graduation on the horizon, I thought it only right to give a shoutout to my school, York College of Pennsylvania. These last 4 years have been really amazing and I’ve met some really great people in the process. The faculty and students are really one-of-a-kind, and I will miss them. The CAB (Campus Activities Board) organization planned so many amazing trips and events during the semesters to keep us all as sane as possible, especially during midterms and finals! Continue doing what you do best!
I can’t speak about the faculty in every department, but of the ones I had, they were all helpful and really funny. If ever there was a problem, they were always ready to lend a hand or advice, when they were available. Many of the courses that I took really opened my eyes to see this world differently, and I thank them for that experience. I was able to take courses that I had a lot of interest in and they, somehow, ended up relating to my major in some way, shape or form.
To the students I met, even though I didn’t keep in touch with all of them throughout my years attending YCP, it was a relief to meet these people who were really friendly and inclusive. Many times, we didn’t share the same opinion, but that’s what going to college is about right: meeting people with different views and then finding a solution or common ground.
My freshman year, I met 3 young women who, I’m positive, will go on to be successful – as will the entire 2018 graduating class, okuurrt (in my best Cardi B. voice)! We all didn’t remain as close as I thought we would and there was a bit of a fallout between us, but I hold no animosity toward any of them. I wish them the best in all their future endeavors.
I may have complained…..well, let’s be honest, I did complain a lot throughout my 4 years here, but I really wouldn’t trade these last 4 years for anything. It is going to be a bittersweet moment next Saturday for me – my family knows that I will be crying!
