5 Perfect Ways to Wear Pink

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at WVWC chapter.

Pink is not just for Wednesdays anymore! With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, there is no better time to rock the color and show your support for Breast Cancer survivors, patients and their family and friends. So consider these options so you can wear your pink with out looking like Barbie or Elle Woods.

1. Pop of Pink

Like any bright color, pink can be a beautiful standout color. So let it be the star of the show by pairing a pink item with other neutral colors.

Which leads me to…

2. Pink and Black

One of the most classic color combinations is pairing pink or blush with stunning black. Try it for yourself for the perfect feminine flirty look!

3. Jackets

For some real fun, try a pink leather jacket or a blush blazer! The blazer is delicate and classy for a casual setting or in the office. The leather jacket is the perfect combination of feminine and no-nonsense. Show cancer that we are tough enough to beat it and find a cure!

4. Accessorize!

Don’t forget to show your support with tons of pink accessories! The possibilities are endless, whether it be a great pair of pink shoes, handbags, jewelry or pink lip-gloss, your accessories will tie together your pink ensemble with your own personal flair!

However, remember what we’re fighting for…

5. Wear the Ribbon

When it comes down to it, we are showing our support to find a cure for this terrible disease. So when you are looking pretty in pink, remember to bring awareness to the cause so we can all stand together in fighting against Breast Cancer.

Stay Classy, ladies!

I am adopted from Russia and was raised in West Virginia. I am a double major in English (Writing Concentration) and Musical Theatre. I love art in many different forms be it writing, singing, acting, drawing/painting, or design. I adore fashion and it has helped me become the person that I want to be in life. I am a very open person and love talking to people, so feel free to ask me anything! I am honored to be a part of the Her Campus team and I hope that my writing will bring you a smile. If I'm not in the theater or typing up my version of the great American fashion column, you can always hear me coming from the click of my heels. My advice to all: Stay classy!
