3 Budget-friendly Products That Will Make You Stay Away from Harmful Tanning Beds

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at WVU chapter.

It’s that time of the year again where everyone is starting to go on vacations, use tanning beds or even just lay in their backyard on a sunny day to get that perfect tan. I always feel more confident about myself when I have my summer glow, so I try to use fake tanning products to keep me feeling my best. Tanning beds are a lot of people’s go-to when it comes to getting a quick, natural glow, but there are so many healthier ways to tan without the harmful risks that come with a bed. They say beauty hurts, but it can also be as easy as putting on a hand cream! Although many fake tanning products can leave a streaky finish on your skin, there are also a lot of good ones out there. Here are some highly rated tanning products that won’t leave you looking orange or streaky:

1. Jergens Natural Glow Wet Skin Moisturizer (Target, $8.49)

This is an awesome way to give yourself that natural glow you have been looking for. After your shower, pat yourself with your towel and put a dime-sized squirt in your hand to apply and rub in one body part at a time. Fully dry off after you are done. As a pale redhead, the medium to tan color is the one that works best for me.

2. Jergens Sun Tropical Sunless Tanning Mousse (Target, $11.99)

If you are looking for more of a deep beach tan, I would go with this product. After you have exfoliated and dried off, pump the mousse onto your hands and evenly rub it on your body. Be careful how much you use around your elbows, knees and ankles. Wash your hands after you are finished and you’re done! You will see instant results.

3. Jergens Natural Glow Revitalizing Lotion  (Target, $8.49)

This is the easiest product to use. It goes on your body just as easy as any lotion, leaving a natural glow. This product helps reduce the appearance of cellulite in seven days! They even have travel size minis to throw in your bag.

These products can also be found in many other stores including CVS, Walmart and Walgreens. Have fun tanning!
