5 Stages of Being Sick During Midterms

Midterms suck, and being sick makes everything suck that much more. If you experienced the plague that’s going around this week and had to drudge through your midterms while suffering from it, this one’s for you.

1.Denial

You can’t possibly be sick. There’s just too much going on this week. That extra cough or sniffle doesn’t mean anything.

2.Complete and utter disaster

You certainly can be sick, and you most certainly are. Suddenly studying for your midterm three days away seems impossible as lying in bed is the only activity you can manage doing.  

3.Constant complaining

You can’t stop telling everyone you’re sick. You also can’t stop blowing your nose, or coughing, or wiping your teary eyes. Did you mention that you were sick?

4.Powering through

Midterms wait for no woman. You’re going to study for this accounting exam and you’re going to pass it, if it’s the last thing you ever do. At this point in the week, it feels like it may actually be the last thing you ever do.

5. Sweet Relief

At long last, the week is over. You have survived midterms, and somewhere in that struggle there has been a break in the clouds of coughing and sneezing. Now you can finally get that sleep you so desperately need.
