I know what you’re thinking. Oh god, not another article about the Kardashians. Trust me, this one is worth it. Before I get into explaining how I think this family is full of geniuses, I want to start with a bit of backstory about how I was introduced. I first became interested in the Kardashians during Season 15 of their original show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians. I had been scrolling on social media, looking for some show I could play in the background throughout the day. This show was the perfect fit. It was something that I didn’t have to fully pay attention to, but it was also entertaining when I did. I loved watching their lavish adventures as they traveled around the world. And of course, who isn’t entertained by the inevitable sister drama that occurs?
As I began to share with people that I started watching this show, I realized that many people had strong opinions about these women without any actual foundational knowledge about them. There are many people in this world who love to refer to the Kardashian-Jenners as being famous for being famous. Essentially, this is code for being famous for having no talent. If they supposedly have no talent, how do you explain their ability to establish a hugely successful empire? Surely, you can argue that their talent is not conventional in the entertainment industry. They don’t sing, dance, or act. However, they have to have some talent in order to be this successful. Yes, you could argue that they are just like every other reality star. I disagree. They have pulled in an astronomical amount of viewers over the years of their show. As a result, they have exploded in popularity and garnered millions of fans and followers.
Let’s face it. The Kardashian-Jenner clan capitalized on this following like no other reality star. They pioneered a wide range of businesses in order to accumulate wealth and establish themselves as a cornerstone of popular culture. Essentially, they catapulted this new trend of “the influencer.” Now, everyone, who gets even a little taste of fame, tries to start a new business and capitalize on whatever limited success they have access to. With the internet nowadays, everyone moves on to a shiny new toy every few seconds. Advertisements for brands are constantly pushed in the consumer’s face. Influencers have come and gone over the years, but the Kardashian-Jenners have stayed relevant. To me, this showcases how they are geniuses. No other influencer, let alone an entire family, has reigned in the media for 10+ years.
Over their time in the spotlight, two of the Kardashian-Jenners have achieved billionaire status and the remaining four are well-off millionaires. This is pretty impressive to achieve when they supposedly have no talent. Therefore, it feels pretty difficult to deny that there is some level of genius inside all of these women. If you are someone who has always had negative preconceived notions about the Kardashian-Jenners, I would encourage you to consider this new viewpoint. Furthermore, I would prompt you to do some research about their actual lives before you pass judgment about the people you think they are.
