Twas the night before finals, when all through the university,
not a student was sleeping, not even Dr. Dan Mahony.
Â
The review sheets have been studied by the minute with care,
In hopes that on Degree Works an âAâ will soon be there. Â
Â
The students were staying up all night studying in their beds,
While visions of summertime danced in their heads.
Â
And everyone in their hats and oversized sweats,
Trying to cover up those dark circles that havenât gone away yet.
Â
When all of a sudden they realize at once,
That the final tomorrow morning is cumulative, covering all the past months.
Â
Away to the books they hurry in a dash,
To try and learn the material from the whole semester in a flash.
Â
The alarm clock on the desk with its 2:30 am glare,
Reminded the students that the final is near, and to say a quick prayer.
Â
When, what to their red, sleep-deprived eyes,
A quick prayer turned to a 4 hour nap, wow times flies.
Â
With a jump out of bed and a cuss word or ten,
They realize their dreaded final will soon begin.
Â
Off to the books they study once more,
To hopefully achieve that high, high score.
Â
After arriving to the final they glance down to see,
The final theyâve been worrying about was as easy as could be.
Â
With a sigh of relief and a wipe of the brow,
They then knew their GPA would be okayâŠfor now.
