Many people on campus recognize you from working at Starbucks, how’s that experience?
I love working at Starbucks, as cheesy as it sounds I love my co-workers! The ladies that I work with in the mornings always make my day; they know how to turn the worst situations into funny ones! Also, the students and people around campus can be so awesome; they make up weird names for the cups, and joke around with us! It honestly makes my day!
What is your least favourite drink to make?
I would have to say my least favourite drink to make is a green tea latte! The powder just gets everywhere…
Do you spell people’s names wrong on purpose?
Honestly? I don’t, I just have really bad spelling sometimes!
How did you know you wanted to attend Laurier?
When I took a tour around campus in grade 12, the atmosphere was so friendly and everyone actually looked like they wanted to be there! It also helps that you can get across campus in five minutes, and that everything else is so close. I’m very happy with my choice! #ItsGreatToBeALaurierGoldenHawk
Where is your go to place to eat on campus?
Wilfs obviously! There’s nowhere better for a fun dinner out!
What do you order?
Normally chicken fingers with curly fries! But lately I’ve been feeling the Seagram Wrap and caesar salad! Everything is so good though, you can’t really go wrong!
Tell me about your involvement with Bridging the Gap.
I’m the VP of Media, so I oversee all of our social media accounts and help come up with and create our hiring ads alongside the VP of Marketing! I’m responsible for keeping the public up to date with the most recent articles to raise awareness about mental health, and to break the stigma surrounding it.
What are some of the things that you and your team do?
Well for the past two weeks we have been focusing on our hashtag days! They are an interactive way that our members, followers, and public can get involved and share what motivates them to be healthy both mentally and physically!

What’s your favourite movie this year?
This year I have been really into re-watching movies series that I love, like Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Star Trek, I don’t think I could name one favourite though!
What came first, the chicken or the egg?
It’s an infinite circle, because how could the chicken be born without the egg and how could the egg be made without the chicken?
What animal are you most like?
I’m definitely a cat. Who wouldn’t want to be one? They just get to hang out all day!
What’s your favourite quote?
My favourite quote is by Winnie the Pooh, “Life is a journey to be experienced, not a problem to be solved.” You always need to believe that there is another honey pot on the way, and not sweat the small stuff!
