10 Ways to Upgrade Your Avocado Toast

Over the past few months, the trend of avocado toast has boomed, and it’s currently the most popular breakfast/lunch/snack idea.  Not only are avocados tasty, but they are extremely nutritious; they are high in heart-healthy fats, full of fiber, and contain tons of potassium. In addition to all of these benefits, it has been said to help in weight loss, and, if eaten prior to drinking, it can diminish a hangover the following day! Bottom line: they’re great for you!  Here are 10 ways to upgrade your avocado toast.

1. Bacon & Goat Cheese

Bacon had to show up somewhere, right? Top your avocado toast with crumbles of cooked bacon and a handful of goat cheese.

 

2. Soft Boiled/Fried Egg & Cayenne Pepper

The avocado toast with fried egg. It is simplistic and humble in nature, but I find it beautiful and deeply satisfying. Filling and incredibly nutritious!

3. Tomato & Basil

As soon as tomatoes come into season, you better believe they’re going on toast! This is so simple — chop up cherry tomatoes and put them on avocado toast with shreds of fresh basil. Black pepper optional.

4. Corn & Lime
