15 Thoughts I Had At HCWO’s Bull & Barrel Charity Night

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Western chapter.

With our upcoming cheque presentation for the First Episode Mood and Anxiety Program (FEMAP), I’ve been reminiscing about HCWO’s charity night at the Bull and Barrel on March 4th. The more I look back on that night, the more fond of it I am, and the more I want to share my—and my team’s—experience with everyone who couldn’t attend. So here are 15 thoughts I had while at the Bull and Barrel.

1.     Oh my god. I’ve never been to a country bar. This could be either the best or worst thing in my entire life.

2.     Do I wear plaid? Is it weird if I wear heels? What is the protocol here?!

3.     I’m so excited to meet and bond with my HerCampus teammates!

4.     There is a dog at this pre… this is going to be a great night.

5.     Squeezing 15 drunk people into a 12 person shuttle is a total mess. It’s a good thing we are comfortable enough with each other to sit on laps.

6.     Where is the VIP section?

7.     I found it and it’s AWESOME!

8.     The HC team is a dream… they are so welcoming and happy.

9.     Time to get a drink. $3 vodka crans? I’ll take 10…

10.  SCRUNCHIES! Where is everyone? Look at our custom Soul Stitcher scrunchies that helped us raise money for FEMAP! It’s a purple polka dot dream.

11.  Time to ride the bull… oh dear.

12.  Omg Kellie, our chapter president, just had her false nails ripped off on the bull. Totally worth it.

13.  I think I’m sweating through my bra from all this wild dancing. Do I care? No.

14.  I don’t want to leave! This has been a great night.

15.  Helping those in need has been the best part of the night.
