Bagels, iced coffee, Wawa, boardwalk, beach, and the best week of your summer. No place like the Jersey Shore.

Growing up in a Jersey Shore town, Ocean City, NJ, I know all the best activities and perks of the shore that are a necessity to take advantage of when you’re visiting. What else is there to do besides go to the beach, you ask? As a local, I got you fully covered. No need to search around for fun things to spice up your Jersey Shore trip, I have your list right here.

Yoga on the beach
An absolute must! You don’t have to be a yogi to enjoy this beach activity. Some yoga studios in shore towns offer beach yoga classes in the morning, which I recommend for anyone ready to get their day started off right, with the ocean at your fingertips! The shore town you visit doesn’t offer beach classes? Just bring your towel or mat to the beach and start those sun salutations yourself. Nothing is more wonderful than beginning your beach day with a peaceful yoga sesh and some meditation too. Highly recommend it!
Sunrise to sunset beach day
Another one for early risers, staying at the beach from sunrise to sunset is the ultimate beach day. Wake up and throw your bathing suit on immediately and head to the beach! The amazing thing about waking up this early is that many people aren’t there, so you have the beach almost all to yourself with the gorgeous sunrise to watch. Bring some bagels and an iced coffee and take those sunrise beach pics you’re dying for. Order food delivery for dinner right to the beach and have a sunset picnic. This is a long day so don’t forget your sunblock and hats!
Stop By A Surf Shop
Shore towns offer a supply of awesome shops, many being surf shops such as Heritage, Ron Jon, or local shops unique to a certain shore town itself. You can pick up anything from surfboards to bikinis to a dinner outfit (and of course, your Jersey Shore town sweatshirt). It’s definitely a must to visit the surf shops and check out their selections. You can’t leave without a souvenir!
Rent jet skis, kayaks, and paddle-boards
Maybe getting a little tired of the beach every day? The bay is where to go! You can bring the whole family for a bay day excursion. Paddle-boarding is my absolute favorite thing to do in the summer. You can relax on the kayaks, try a headstand on the paddle-boards, and race your jet skis on the bay. These are the best activities and anyone can do it.
Have dinner downtown and on the boardwalk
Shore towns offer unique and also staple restaurants for all occasions. Eat fancy to casual, with nice Italian restaurants or pizza on the boardwalk! I recommend so many places to eat for people traveling down. My favorite places are Hula Grill (Ocean City Boardwalk), La Fontana (Sea Isle City), The Mad Batter (Cape May), and so many more. Don’t forget breakfast, lunch, and ice cream. Get the full dining experience on your next trip!
Go to an amusement park
You’re never too old to go on the rides. It’s a necessity for your Jersey Shore trip and I make an effort to go at least once a year. The thrill makes you feel like a kid again, the smell of popcorn and ice cream surrounding you as people scream and the music plays. An unbeatable feeling of nostalgia! Can’t forget the water parks either.

With your new schedule, it’s time to live out your best summer at the Jersey Shore with a variety of relaxing and fun activities for everyone.
