Lately, I find myself tired and burnt out by the end of the day. There is something about Zoom calls that are otherworldly tiring. That said, I found that listening to relaxing music makes me feel a lot better. I put together some of my favorite chill songs, so ideally, you can find some peace too!

“my future” by Billie Eilish

Of course, I need to start this playlist with a Billie song. If you have yet to listen to “my future”, you need to. It is such a unique and uplifting song about being independent and loving yourself. It is also an oddly optimistic song coming from Billie Eilish but still stays true to her classic moody, dreamy sound which makes it such a captivating, relaxing song.

“Trouble” by Omar Apollo

I recently started listening to Omar Apollo and quickly fell in love. He carries a unique sound with his incredible vocals. He is the type of artist who can pull off any sound and “Trouble” carries a dreamy melody between the acoustic guitar and his vocals to make it perfect.

“HOME” by Aries

If you have not listened to Aries before, I recommend checking him out. Aries is an American rapper/singer-songwriter and YouTuber, and I could not love him more. He writes all his music himself and founded the record label Wunderwolrd. His debut album WELCOME HOME is quickly gaining popularity and I can confidently say that every single track is an absolute bop. “HOME” is the last track on the album and the most emotional. It is a moody late-night kind of song where the lyrics are melancholic but the beat still goes off.

“O.O.C” by The True Blue

This song has been a favorite of mine for over a year. I feel like it is the definition of a chill song. Whenever this song comes on while I am driving around at night, I feel like I am the main character in a movie.

“Yes I’m Changing” by Tame Impala

Tame Impala is one of my favorite artists out there so I had to include one of their songs. “Yes I’m Changing” is such a positive song and the melody is just so relaxing and pretty. If sunshine had a sound it would be this song.

“Alewife” by Clairo

Clairo possesses such a soft and beautiful voice, easily giving her a spot on this playlist. This song has such a soft melody and Clairo’s vocals sound angelic. This is the kind of song to play when you want to stare out the window during a storm.

“Ribs” by Lorde

Anyone Lorde fan will know that “Ribs” is the most iconic song ever. This song captures the anxieties of growing up and how adolescents can be exhausting and isolating. It reminisces the innocence of the past while confronting the loneliness of the future. It is such a powerful song and I listened to it excessively when I was in high school, so much so that now whenever I hear the ambient buzz of the first ten seconds of the song I feel like I am being taken back in time.
