A-choo! Oh hey there, if you haven’t noticed, it’s flu season and that means all things germs. We all envision the winter season to be this cozy season filled with hot teas and fuzzy blankets. However, most of the time we are indulged under our blankets because we are sick! Not to worry! There is a remedy for this problem and that involves maintaining various winter wellness tips to keep you at your optimal health this season.

Wash your hands

This is by far the most important winter wellness tip. It is so important that you wash your hands 100% of the time after any activity. This includes washing your hands after coming back home from school or work, before eating, etc. Washing your hands is the best way to keep germs out and keep you healthy.
Also, don’t hesitate to use hand sanitizer alongside handwashing.

Extra sleep

Sleep, sleep, sleep. Winter season means that the days are shorter and cooler and nights are longer, so we are bound to get tired more easily.
Try going to bed and waking up early. This way, you get more hours out of your day to be productive and you get enough sleep!

Stay hydrated

Drink lots of water! It’s so important to stay hydrated in the winter. During the winter, our bodies are exposed to so many different toxins. Drinking a good amount of water detoxifies your body and flushes out toxins to keep you at your best.
So on that note, drink up!

Eat foods that boost your immune system

Having a strong immune system helps to fight any winter bugs that may come your way. You can heavily increase the strength of your immune system by eating immune-boosting foods.

Examples of some great immune boosting foods are mushrooms, omega-3 fatty acids, leafy greens, and yogurt.

So that’s it, keep healthy this winter season and try some of these winter wellness tips to help you along the way.
