Thunderstorms and lightning cracked skies

Double rainbows and leaves dripping with dew drops

The smell of rain coating the new grass

And critters scuttering around

Opening their eyes for the first time

To budding flowers.

The world wakes slowly, from winter’s slumber.

With promises of a new year

Full of warm days, and melting ice cream in the days to come

Summer creeps closer and spring arrives

As days grow longer and nights, shorter.

Go out to splash in the puddles and pick the dandelions

That colour your path to days of fun and innocence.

Hi, I like Starbucks, my laptop and fantastical imagery. Other than that, I am in my 1B term of Health Studies at the University of Waterloo. Stick around to check out some of my poetry :)
