Every weekend, herds of WashU students set out in search of the perfect weekend brunch spot. On those lazy weekends it’s usually the village, Kayak’s, or BD. Just kidding! BD brunch doesn’t exist anymore (but we secretly kind of wish it did even though it took all our meal points). You might be thinking though…what about those weekends when you’re feeling adventurous? Here are some of my favorite spots and some spots that are still on my bucket list!

Winslow’s Home

Winslow’s Home is one of my absolute favorites. It was actually my first off-campus brunch spot freshman year! The atmosphere inside is very homey and aesthetically pleasing. Also, the food is delicious!! They even have a cute separate coffee bar to order drinks. Coffee is always a must.

Café Osage

Café is THE place for cute brunch pics. The aesthetic is incredible. They have a gorgeous greenhouse with flowers, trees, succulents, and other plants for sale. In the greenhouse attached to the café, there are also clothes, jewelry, and other fun things for sale. If you decide to go on the weekend though, make sure to call ahead and make a reservation!

Rooster

Okay, I have a confession to make…I haven’t been to Rooster yet, but it’s on my bucket list! However, all of my friends absolutely rave about it, and the décor looks super fun. Go check it out! Maybe I’ll see you there. :)

City Coffeehouse and Creperie

MUST BRUNCH HERE NOW. No seriously… do it! The crepes here are to die for – so so so so yummy. My personal favorite is the Nutella and banana classic crepe. You really can’t do much better. If you’re in a healthy mood though, you can’t go wrong with their avocado toast, which is super pretty and super tasty. If you go during the warmer months you can sit in their open terrace area, which reminds me of Paris! One of my favorite spots in St. Louis!!

First Watch

First Watch is another St. Louis hit for WashU students. I unfortunately haven’t been yet, but I hear it’s really good! A ton of my friends have gone. The menu has me getting hungry!! Try it out and let me know how it is!
