Q&A:

I really like the name Latte & Lemons — how did you come up with that name?

When I was coming up with a name, I was so ready to start my page that I tried not to overthink it! Lattes and Lemons was one of the first combinations I came up with and just stuck with it.

What inspired you to start your own food blog?

Since both of my parents are healthy eaters, I grew up in a health conscious environment and have always been interested in wellness. Some of my best memories have been spent around the table with my family, so food has always played an important role in my life. I have also suffered from severe acne, so during this time I really capitalized on using food for healing and recovery. Learning how nourished my skin and body felt from my diet is when I knew I had a passion for real food. I started my blog to share this passion and inspire others to live, eat and be well through easy and delicious recipes.

How would you describe Latte & Lemons?

I would describe Lattes and Lemons as a food blog promoting intuitive eating and living a balanced lifestyle. I try to focus on simplicity to help show others that leading a wholesome life should not be overcomplicated.

Where do you find your recipe inspirations?

I find my recipe inspirations by getting creative with what I have because most of the time in college I’m working with minimal ingredients! The wellness community on Instagram is also so inspiring and motivating.

You obviously have excellent photography skills — was it something you picked up as you started blogging?

I’ve always loved photography, but it has definitely been something I’ve gotten better at since starting my Instagram. Photography is one of those things that you improve on with each photo you take, so it’s been a fun process of constant learning.

Which part of blogging is your most favorite and why: recipe development, post writing or photography?

As much as I love photography, I think my favorite part about blogging is post writing. I enjoy using my platform to share my favorite tips and tricks I have picked up on from past experiences and it has been such a blessing to be able to connect with so many amazing people from all over the world.

Have you partnered with any food companies? How was that like?

Instagram has introduced me to some amazing brands, such as Match Konomi (@matchakonomi), Emmy’s Organics Cookies (@emmysorganics) and Sweet Potato Awesome (@sweetpotatoawesome). I am so grateful to have the opportunity to work with brands that share my same goals for healthy living and ingredient transparency.
