Looking for something to add an extra glow to your skin? Watermelon might be your new best friend. Here are the top reasons why:

1. Hydrates skin.

Watermelon has an extremely high-water content (92%), and this contributes to keeping skin nice and hydrated. Generally speaking, dull skin is dehydrated skin. Eating watermelon, drinking watermelon juice and using watermelon infused products can help you get beautiful and refreshed skin.

2. Helps acne and maintains oil production.

Packed with Vitamin A, watermelon is able to prevent oil production in the skin and even reduce your pore size. It also contains plenty of antioxidants and phytonutrients such as lycopene that have anti-inflammatory properties which reduce redness.

3. Tone and tightening.

With its hydrating properties, watermelon acts as one of the best natural toners. Vitamins A, C and antioxidants present in watermelon prevent cell damage and promote collagen synthesis. This not only slows the aging process, but it also helps firm the skin.

4. Good for all skin types.

Watermelon hydrates the skin, promotes even color and maintains oil production which helps extend the youthful glow of skin by preventing the development of fine lines. Who wouldn’t want at least one of these benefits?

Besides eating watermelon and drinking its juice, you can also use watermelon infused products! Some of the one’s I’ve found work are Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask, Glow Recipe Watermelon Pink Juice Moisturizer, and Sephora Collection Watermelon Cleansing Wipes.
