How to Get Through the Wake Forest Grind

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wake Forest chapter.

Good news, you have survived another semester at Wake and are embarking on the next one!

Here are some tips to ease your way back into the grind of Work Forest.

  1. Remember that grades are not everything.  No matter how much you think that this test grade will define you, trust me, it doesn’t.

2. Hang out with your friends!  You haven’t seen them in awhile especially if some of them have been abroad.  Don’t forget to spend time with them in between studying. Have fun, school isn’t all about your education.

3.  Watch TV and relax.  Make sure you get some much needed you time.  You survived last semester, reward yourself.

4.  Call your mom, dad, sibling, or any loved one and remind them that you are doing okay and that you miss them.  Trust me, the ones you left behind after break are missing you, let them know you didn’t forget about them because you stepped back onto campus.

5.  Dance around your room, listen to music, get some coffee, and eat ice cream.  Just make sure that your life is filled with the little things that make you happy.
