Finals are fastly approaching! For all college students, this means that we are so close yet so far away to the end of the term. For most, the terms are hard. College students are expected to be involved in a copious amount of clubs, have a social life, stay fit, and maintain a certain standard of academic excellence. I admit, it is very hard to keep motivation up during finals time, especially since the end of the term seems to have everything building up all at once. This may be daunting for many students, but here are some tips to have a successful finals week in the future:

  1. Get a full night of sleep. Being overly tired will just hurt your energy and attention levels.
  2. Need a caffeine boost? In my opinion, coffee, especially a latte, is a great go-to.
  3. Remember to eat! Make sure that you still have brain food to keep you going.
  4. Continue to go to the gym. Exercise (even if it is for a short amount of time) helps to reduce stress, and physical health is still important during studying time.
  5. Make sure to get up and take breaks here and there— sitting for too long is bad for you.
  6. Find a study group; it is always beneficial to have people to ask questions to if you are confused.
  7. Go to the library early so that you can find a good, comfortable study spot.
  8. Breathe… it will all be over soon.

Make sure to study hard and try your best, but do not overextend yourself. Just remember that you got it! After finals you will be done with the semester and able to relax again. Good luck!
