Decadent Enough for a Restaurant, Simple Enough for a College Kitchen

Easy 30 Minute Blondie Recipe

When I think of this recipe, I think of warmth, nostalgia, spending time with family in the kitchen, and starting new traditions. My grandmother wrote this recipe and my dad grew up with it; now, my siblings and I have grown up with it. It has become a staple in our house, and it is safe to say that when the smell wafts through the house, everyone comes running. These blondies are something I have come to share with my friends, and they never disappoint. They have an ooey, gooey, chocolate-butterscotch goodness and they only take roughly 30 minutes to bake. One can make them as long as they have access to an oven.

What you’ll need:

  • a 9×9 pan
  • a medium-sized bowl
  • butter or non-stick spray
  • 1 box of graham cracker crumbs
  • 2 cans of Eagle brand milk
  • 1 bag of chocolate chips (sometimes I add more)
  • 1 bag of butterscotch chips

How to make it:

  1. Set the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Mix the graham cracker crumbs and the chocolate and butterscotch chips together in a bowl.

  3. Slowly pour in the milk (while mixing well) until the mixture is sticky but not wet, which should resemble a consistency between brownie batter and cookie dough.

  4. Transfer into a greased pan.

  5. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes or until golden brown.

  6. Enjoy!
