Somehow, February is already coming to a close, so I want to share some of my favorite things from this month. This could be anything from makeup products to self-care routines that I have been working on. Each item included in my list has personally benefited me in some way, shape or form, and I highly recommend all of them.

Laneige Lip Mask

Sephora

This is a lip mask that has received quite the hype on the internet, so I was admittedly skeptical. As someone who can’t stand dry lips, I am always looking for moisturizing lip products that actually work, especially during the winter. I was pleasantly surprised by this product; I used it overnight a few times a week, and it worked wonders. While it is somewhat pricey, a little goes a long way, so you likely won’t need to repurchase it very frequently.

Spotify ‘daylist’

I’ve recently found myself in somewhat of a rut when it comes to finding new music, but the Spotify ‘daylist’ has been my obsession this month. The ‘daylist’ is a Spotify generated playlist based on your listening preferences and history. The app creates a new playlist for you each day, always with a different vibe that fits your music niche. I have loved seeing what Spotify chooses for me every day, and it makes it so easy to pick what I want to listen to.

MIX:BAR Perfume – Vanilla Bourbon

As a college student living on a budget, finding good perfumes at reasonable prices can be a challenge. However, I’ve had great luck with MIX:BAR, which can be found at Target. The Vanilla Bourbon perfume has been my recent fixation; it is super affordable and is the perfect warm, comforting scent for winter.

crossword Puzzles

This one is random, I know. My passion for the daily New York Times puzzles has evolved into a love for crossword puzzles in general. I have been attempting to decrease the amount of time I spend on my phone, and I find that doing crossword puzzles is a good way to do that. Who doesn’t love a good brain teaser?

Movie Nights

Netflix/See-Saw

This month, I have probably had more movie nights with friends than I’ve had in a long time, and I have absolutely loved it. While I do enjoy going out and doing social things, I just feel like there is something so special about having nights in with your friends. February has been the month of me thoroughly enjoying the more chill hangouts with friends, and reminding myself that I don’t need to feel guilty about staying in.

Weekly Journaling

Yes, this is a favorite from this month, but it is also something I have been practicing for longer than that. I used to struggle to keep up with journaling because I felt pressure to do it every single night. It took me way too long to finally realize that there are no rules to journaling; you can quite literally do it anytime you want to. So, I devised a schedule that worked for me, and I’ve found that journaling at the end of every week has been so beneficial for my mental state. It allows me to gather my thoughts and evaluate how I’m feeling, which therefore allows me to go into the upcoming week better prepared. It is a practice I have really come to enjoy, and I think it has done such good things for me.
