Developing a night routine can be somewhat fun but also stressful. Mainly because it’s hard to stick to depending on your schedule and your level of laziness. Personally, I don’t have a night routine, but it is important! I used to have one then I started staying up later and later for work, assignments and just goofing the hell off to the point where it was too late to even do a night routine. Not to mention being entirely too tired to pick up a face mask or cleanser. So, I’ve completely neglected my night time routine. Which is bad, but I’m working on it! I’m writing this article to tell you to be BETTER THAN ME. LOL! PLEASE! So, here are a few reasons why a night routine is hella important.
It Keeps You in the Swing of Things
Having a set routine makes you feel like you have your life together (even when you don’t). It helps everything else flow steady for the next day. If you’re inconsistent with your night routine, more than likely your morning/day routine or day in general will be off. Say if your night time routine consisted of you writing your to-do list for the next day, and you forget it then you’re going to be all over the place in the morning. See where I’m going with this?Makes You Feel Well Put Together
As college students or ladies in our twenties, we don’t have it all together. We just don’t. We’re still trying to figure life out honestly (at least some of us). Although we’re not 100% on the right track, of course we want to seem like we are, which is totally fine. Having a set routine makes you feel like you have a plan, you’re a boss, and it just makes you feel better about yourself period! If you have a morning routine, add a night time routine to that and watch how you flourish.
A Facial Night Routine Can Literally Save Your Life
There’s a million night time routines out there, but your night time face routine is literally your most important. You see your face everyday and so do others so why not make sure it’s glowing? Whenever I have time, I wipe my face thoroughly with witch hazel and aloe vera, and afterwards I drink a a TALL glass of water! Reason being, water is good for your body and especially for your skin. Plus, I’m hella lazy so the witch hazel and aloe vera is enough for me to get the dirt from the day off. If you want a more in depth face routine, try doing a face mask, exfoliating or just using a cleanser and toner. As long as your face is thoroughly cleansed from excess oil, you should be fine! Doing this nightly, you’ll see a HUGE improvement in your skin! You’ll Feel Refreshed in the AM
Believe it or not, if you have a consistent night routine, it helps you have a better night’s rest and helps you feel refreshed the next morning! You’ll go to bed and wake up feeling like you’ve accomplished something. It’ll have you motivated and excited for your morning routine and later, your night routine all over again!
