This past Friday a few of the Her Campus ladies and I volunteered at the Community Soup Kitchen and we had such a great time. It felt good giving back and helping those in need! We got the chance to meet Bobby Dugger, the manager of the kitchen. Bobby, for his own reasons, chooses to be homeless. Talk about an act of selflessness!
The kitchen is a non-profit organization ran by volunteers and is open five days a week, from 11:30 AM to 12:45 PM. If you ever want to lend a hand or know someone in need, the kitchen is located at 601 N Lee St. Here’s a few snapshots of our time there!
