5 Things That Will Make Your Bad Day Better

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Valdosta chapter.

There are 365 days in a year (366 if it’s a leap year) which means that everyday isn’t going to be a good day. Bad days happen to everyone whether it be something that caused you stressed or you’re just not in that great of a mood. But, there are always a ways to relax and to change your mood around.

1. Read a book

Take a break from reality, put your phone away and just curl up with your favorite novel. It’s sure to get your mind off things!

2. Go for a run/walk

Going for a run or walk will give you a chance to clear your head and focus on something else for a while.

3. Jam out to your favorite song

This is a must! Even on a good day you should listen to your favorite song. Grab that can of hairspray and use it as a microphone and perform your favorite song in the mirror.

4. Get your nails done

A little TLC never hurt anyone.

5. Get a coloring book and revisit your inner child

As elementary as it may seem, coloring gives you a time to de-stress and allows you to just forget things that are bothering you.

Everyday can’t be a good thing, but there is a way to make a bad day better. Don’t let a bad day turn into a bad week; take some time for yourself and cheer up!
