With this new wave of positivity and self-love, I am sure that we have all heard of affirmations and what they do. But just in case you haven’t: affirmations is the action or process of affirming something or being affirmed. At least that’s the official definition. My definition of affirmations is reminders that I’m a boss!

Affirmations practiced deliberately and regularly have been proven to reinforce a chemical pathway in the brain, making the connection between two neurons stronger, and therefore more likely to conduct the same message again. In other words, if you repeat to yourself “I am a boss!” every single day, you will more than likely be… a boss. ?

So, here are 10 affirmations that will help us get through 2018! Try saying them as soon as you wake up, up to three times (or more, depending on how you feel) and watch how your mindset for the day changes!
