Love Your Melon was founded in an entrepreneurship class at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota by two friends, Zachary and Brian, who wanted to start a business with a meaningful and positive social impact. Love Your Melon began with the simple idea of putting a hat on every child battling cancer in America. After achieving the original goal of giving 45,000 hats — one for every child battling cancer in America — Love Your Melon set a new goal of giving one million dollars to pediatric cancer research and providing immediate support to children and their families. To date, they have given over 4.7 million dollars to the fight against pediatric cancer and over 149,000 hats to children battling cancer.

The Love Your Melon Campus Crew Program is an exclusive Crew made up of students who are determined to improve the lives of children battling cancer. In communities across the country, their Crew Members raise awareness for childhood cancer, represent the brand through promotional events and personally engage with their charitable programming initiatives. Campus Crew Members are the driving force behind Love Your Melon. The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee campus alone has over 300 volunteers and 30 crew members. They are constantly volunteering and making a difference in the Milwaukee area. If you are thinking of a way to get involved on campus and in the Milwaukee community Love Your Melon offers a wide variety of opportunities.
