For when you’re happy…

When I’m happy, I’m usually in the mood for something more upbeat. My go-to song is Levels by Nick Jonas. I know, I know the Jonas brothers were popular so long ago. But honestly, Nick Jonas on his own is like a million times better. See for yourself.

For when you’re sad…

Sometimes, you’ve just got to let yourself have a little cry. And what better way to tune into your emotions than with music? I recommend listening to My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion. As an avid fan of all things musical, I listen to a variety of genres. But I picked this one because it’s a song that everyone knows and it’s really easy to connect with.

For when you’re angry…

Being angry is not good for the soul or the body. But embracing the anger and just letting yourself vent for a little bit can take some of the pressure off. Gives You Hell by the American Rejects is what I listen to when I’m angry. I love sarcasm and this song is just dripping with it. As well, it’s an amazing song to sing along to!

For when you’re anxious…

Anxiety is really hard to shake, especially when you’re on your own. If you’re having trouble getting rid of that gnawing feeling, just close your eyes and take a listen to the song Girl Put Your Records On by Corinne Bailey Rae. Not only is the melody itself calming, but the visuals that the song creates in your mind will help put you at ease.

For when you feel like celebrating…

You didn’t think I was going to skip out on Country did you? Country music is what I use to pump myself up. If you just accomplished something great or you’re up for an amazing night out on the town, you need to hear Brad Paisley’s, Crushin’ It.

For when you’re tired…

Hey you! Wake up! Having trouble staying awake or looking for the perfect alarm? I’ve got just the song for you. Walking on Sunshine by Katrina & the Waves is a classic that will get your heart rate going and keep your eyes open. The upbeat tempo won’t hurt either.

By now, you’ve heard every song on the list… so, what do you think? What are your favourite songs for all of your different moods? Let us know!
