A Letter to the Students of Fall Semester 2018

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UWG chapter.

Fall semester of 2018 has brought new challenges and triumphs for us as we continue on the journey of pursuing higher education. It has been filled with procrastinations, exams, possibly wanting to drop out, several naps and switching majors. As we finish this semester out, I would like to advice you all to congratulate yourself in making it through the year.

I am sure there were plenty of times when you wanted to give up but you kept pushing on. Over the break, take the time to learn from the mistakes you made and celebrate for striving to reach your goal. To all college students, I would like to say that I am extremely proud of you. Keep on going until you walk across the stage!

Now that we have completed the semester, let’s begin to make plans for the next. To prevent us from procrastinating, we should invest calendars so we can be aware of assignment deadlines. Make sure that your classes are paid for so the Registrar’s Office doesn’t drop them.

Allow yourself breaks in between studying and assignments so you don’t burn yourself out and become overwhelmed. As always, reward yourself on your accomplishments throughout the semester. Remember, a small victory is still a victory. So celebrate the good times!

My name is Kennedy Austin, I am a speech-language pathology major. In my spare time, I like to hangout with friends and family. I adore animals but mostly puppies. I watch television as much as I can.
Victoria is a senior at the University of West Georgia. She is an English major with a minor in Mass Communications. She loves fashion, coffee, reading, writing and all things related to motorcycles.
