It is too often we ladies forget to spoil ourselves. I know I am guilty of putting others before myself. But, one day I always make about me is October 1st, my BIRTHDAY. My special day may or may not have passed before this is posted. The great thing about my special day is not only do I celebrate two weekends in a row, but I also accept gifts every day until November 1st. I say all of this for you all to note that you should not limit receiving gifts from others during your day. Treat yourself too! Here are five things you should gift yourself on your birthday.

I am a feminine woman that loves a sultry, lingering, long-lasting scent. Months before my birthday, I frequent department stores and the kiosks smelling most of the offered scents. A few of my all-time favorites are;
Giorgio Armani Si Parfume, Estee Lauder Beautiful Belle, Estee Lauder Modern Muse, Chanel Mademoiselle, Chanel Noir, and Versace Bright Crystal. Each of these exalts sexy, feminine and sophisticated. A few sprays on your pressure points will last the entire day, well into the next if sprayed on an outer garment.
Fabulously Frugal Tip #1: Search Groupon and Outlet Malls for discounts on larger bottles OR ask for a sample at the Kiosks or checkout counter.

Dainty necklaces, bracelets and a pair of stud earrings can take an outfit up twelve notches when paired correctly. You don’t have to break the bank with these staple pieces. Local jewelers have amazing prices on timeless and classic pieces. Another great tip is to check thrift stores and pawn shops for pre-owned pieces. Take these purchases to the jewelers and have them professionally cleaned, appraised and packaged for a lifetime of enjoyment.

I know this is the age of convenience and compaction, but every lady needs a sturdy, feminine handbag or wallet for everyday use. There is no time like on your birthday to make this splurge. My go-to stop for designer bags that have me feeling guilty are: TJMaxx, Marshall’s, Ross, Aldo and Target! TJMaxx, Marshall’s and Ross have great finds for a fraction of the cost. There is a myth that most of the items that have found a home in these stores have a deficit, but that is not completely true. Aldo is one of my all-time favs for handbags, wallets, shoes, and jewelry. Lastly, TARGET! Need I elaborate on the goodies stuffed in this amazing creation of a store? No long lines, countless deals, and amazing customer service.

Every girl needs a new pair of shoes every once in a while or every weekend, but who’s really counting your wallet? Similar to the handbags/wallets, the previously mentioned stores are great places to find money-saving deals on fashionable shoes.
A quick tip: When buying shoes and heels, focus on building a collection of basic colors like red, black, nude, and a staple animal print (cheetah, snakeskin, cowhide, etc.)

This one is for you and ONLY you. Of course, you may purchase more to share with others. Every year I order half-a-dozen Red Velvet cupcakes from CamiCakes. It’s a
local bakery here in Georgia. They have the BEST cupcakes I have ever had. Even though I am semi-dieting, this is one guilty pleasure I cannot resist.
