With Halloweekend fast approaching it is finally time to stop procrastinating and figure out what you will be dressing as. Never fear, fellow procrastinators, because I have put together a list of costumes for you and your special someone that are sure to dazzle (and are easy to put together).
1. Danny and Sandy from Grease
This is a pretty simple costume, all you need is an off the shoulder black top, tight black pants, and red shoes. If you’re not blonde and are really committed to the costume you could buy a blonde wig, but even without you will be instantly recognizable. Don’t forget the red lipstick! For the guy, a black t-shirt, black pants, and black shoes will work. Extra points if he manages to get a leather jacket!
2. Mario & Princess Peach
Mario and peach, a love story for the ages. For the girl, find a pink dress or pink shirt and skirt combo, white gloves, and a crown. For the Mario costume, get blue overalls, a red long sleeve shirt, a red hat that you can attach an “M” to and, of course, the famous moustache.
3. Guess Who?
For this costume cut out frames for your faces and write your names on the bottom. Then use yellow duct tape to make a question mark on a red or blue shirt. This is definitely a costume that requires minimal effort but is still clever!
4. Jack and Coke
Another costume that requires minimal effort… all you need is a Jack Daniels t-shirt and a Coca-Cola t-shirt. You can decide who gets to be what!
5. Gatsby and Daisy
This is a costume reserved for the classiest of couples. For the guy, a dapper tux will work and you can wear a flapper dress, lots of pearls, and a flashy headpiece. If you don’t happen to have a flapper dress lying around you can substitute it for any other flashy, sequined, or sparkly outfit. Don’t forget to tell your guy to call everyone “old sport” for the duration of the night.
