If you don’t know what I mean when I ask “What house you are in?” than you didn’t grow up with Harry, Ron, and Hermione. To me, the best part about the wizarding world is the number of posibilities. Any attempt to make the Harry Potter world real is a good thing in my book, especially the book entitled The Unofficial Harry Potter Cookbook.
I decided to make some Pumpkin Pasties and Treacle Tarts, they are staple Harry Potter desserts. When making them I had so much fun and really enjoyed feeling like a wizard, grab your fellow Hufflepuffs and get baking!
The Pumpkin Pasties were delicious! They reminded me of pumpkin pies that you can hold in your hand, portable-pies, if you will. The Treacle Tarts had some potential. Overall, making the dessert was a fun activity to do with some of my more Harry Potter obsessed friends. We got to have fun baking, talking about our houses, and then watching Harry Potter while we ate some great desserts. Next time Harry Potter weekend rolls around don’t forget to try some new recipes with your friends. Maybe you guys can see who wins the House Cup with the best recipe!
