If you were to tell me years ago that an online video-sharing platform called YouTube would be so highly successful, that they can now pay what we now call “content creators” or “influencers”, I wouldn’t have believed you. Not only do they pay them, but get this: a good majority of influencers can now make this their full-time job.
According to an article posted on The Roaring Times by Karly Halsey called “YouTube’s Rise to Fame,” it has been reported that “most of the millions of videos posted on YouTube every day receive very little interest or views. But there is an exception for the 30% of videos that do receive a great amount of attention. These people are not only having fun but making money while they do it.”
I think that it is also very important to realize that even though you’re allowed to post almost anything on YouTube, such as beauty videos, vlogs, music, and many other content creations, only certain channels gain the most traction based on their audience. In this day and age, you can become a YouTuber if you desire but what sticks in people’s minds is that connection they gravitate towards or that sense of relating to your daily lifestyle.
