PAK Member & Science/Arts Student Riette De Jäger

This week’s Campus Celebrity is Riette De Jäger! She’s a member and sister of founding member of the Performing Arts Kollective (PAK), studying both science and arts – now that’s a way to use both sides of the brain! This girl is a ray of sunshine whose passionate about what she does and what she’s studying! Want to know more? Then read on!
 
 
Her Campus USC: Why did you join PAK?
Riette: My sister was one of the founding members of PAK and I just adored their productions. I knew I had to be involved as soon as I got to Uni. 
 
HC: What is the official name of your degree? 
Riette: Bachelor of Science and Arts 
 
HC: What is your biggest passion? 
Riette: Tough question! I absolutely love theatre but I also have a huge passion for baking!
 
HC: Do you have any plans for your future after PAK and what are they? 
Riette: Finish my degree and travel aboard! Either working or making my way through uncharted waters.
 
HC: What are your plans for the future with your degree and why did you choose USC? 
Riette: I chose USC as it allowed me to stay on the Coast… As well as be in PAK. Of course! Ha!
 
HC: What’s your advice for others joining PAK and for other students in your degree? 
Riette: DO IT!! Best decision of your life! You will laugh, cry, have the most fun as well as make the most wonderful friends.  In the immortal words of Dory the fish: “Just keep swimming, just keep swimming. What do we do? We swim, swim, swim…”

Jasmin Maastricht is a third year Journalism student at USC, the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of the Her Campus chapter at USC, as well as being one of the 2013 USC Student Mentor's, freelancing for online publication WeekendNotes and interning for Australia's number one online fashion store, Fashionfile.
