This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at USC (AU) chapter.
Need help with assignments already? Ask A Nerd!

Ask A Nerd Project Manager Lauren Shalit got in touch with us over the last week to give us some insight on what it’s all about!

“Ask A Nerd” is an online college tutoring service where the ‘nerds’ (tutors for verified top tier universities) help you with academic problems, for topic explanations to exam preparation. So they won’t give you all the answers but they’ll help explain things in a better way for you to understand and help you nail those assignments or exams!

The best thing about it? (I mean apart from the the awesome tutoring…) you can do it from the comfort of your own living rooman d it’s FREE to submit a help request!

How Do I Sign Up?

Lauren explains it all…

“To sign up students fill out a quick online form and ask the nerd a question. The nerds bid (place a price) on the question and based on the bid students choose a nerd,” she says.

“Unlike other online tutoring services the student and nerd engage in an online conversation, and the nerd builds a clearer understanding on the challenging subject.

“The nerd and student are anonymous throughout the process.”
