Feelings From Finals Week We Know All Too Well

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at URI chapter.

Finals week is by far the worst week of any college student’s life.

Finals week is nothing but stress and lack of sleep, as we desperately attempt to get a good grade on an exam that may or may not make up for the slacking we did all semester long. College students are no longer humans during finals week. We are just soulless creatures, hyped up on caffeine, and struggling to perform regular daily activites because that one grade means so much. All of this stress brought on in one week is destined to lead to some strange emotions.

Trying to find an open spot at the library:

Calculating the minimum grade you need on the final to pass the course:

Trying to figure out if you’re giving up because you’re confident in the material or you just don’t care about the exam anymore:

When your teacher wastes exam time explaining how to fill out the scrantron:

When the one thing you overlooked is a main portion of the exam:

When something your professor said wouldn’t be on the exam, is:

When something you never even learned is on the exam:

Over thinking true/false questions because you got the same answer five times in a row:

Giving yourself daily pep-talks so you can trek through the rest of the week:

Your personal hygiene just goes out the door:

The mental breakdowns that just decide to happen and are out of your control:

Getting halfway through your exams:

Walking out of your last exam:

Running to the bar as soon as you’re done with exams:

Checking your grades every day even though you know they wont be up for at least a week:
