How did you guys meet?

F: We met at the “Cinco Dias con Nuestra Tierra” meetings, back in 2011.  But I really got to know him during the fair; I got interested in him because he treated me respectfully and equally to any other worker in the tent.

C: Well, pretty simple; at 5Días (2011). I had my eye on her since the fair’s meetings, then on Saturday- when the fair was about to be over- I got the courage to talk to her and I invited her to McDonalds with some guys from the tent. After that I remember the other guys wanting to dance with her, but I just kept my cool and waited for the moment. Then I sat beside her, put my hand on her shoulder, she put her hand in mine and I realized we had clicked. After a few days I looked for ways to contact her, and when we were finally able to meet again we began going out on dates and started knowing each other better.

How long have you guys been together?

Both: 3 years and 5 months.

How have you guys have been able to maintain a healthy relationship, taking in mind one of you is here in Puerto Rico and the other one in Spain?

F: Well, our level of trust, understanding and the many feelings we have towards each other, have somehow prepared us for something like this. I feel serious about this relationship and so is he. We’ve also taken advantage of technology, using apps to communicate.

C: Well, basically by our trust and love for each other. Also thanks to Skype, Whatsapp and Magic jack.

What do you miss the most about him/her now that you are apart?

F: I guess, horseback riding: I got used to having him around for horse rides, we had developed a kind of tradition organizing them or just attending them. I also miss a lot his company and his sarcastic sense of humor.

C: Hugging her, horseback riding and just having her with me.

If you could describe him/her in three words, what would they be?

F: Charismatic, passionate and self-determined.

C: Honest, sweet and family-oriented.

What you learned from him/her?

F:  César is a hardworking man and very organized: so I have cultivated a lot more perseverance towards my goals and he is a partner with whom I feel free to express my true self in any learning or artistic field.

C: She has taught me to trust.
