College is anything but stress free. It’s completely understandable if you sometimes want to take a nap right in the middle of your class, or simply want to take a plane away from campus (for, like, forever). Finding some little peace between all those papers and tests can seem impossible, causing some big stress for us Collegiettes. Although smartphones can’t solve everything (just yet), they do have these amazing little apps that may help you become stress-free, or at least turn down your worries and anxieties a little. Here are some of them:  

 

1. Guided Mind

This is a meditation app, where you can find different topics that deal with the stresses and challenges we face every day. The voice-guided meditations range from 5 minutes to 30 minutes, and they also offer nature soundscapes and instrumental tracks. The topics include: anxiety, body image, career, stress, motivation, and many more! It seems like an amazing app for those stressful days, where you just have a 20 minute break between classes, and want to get away from reality for a while. 

 

 

2. Elevate

Elevate has a bunch of mental games that can help you relax, while making you smarter! Who says no to that?! It has games to improve memory, math, presition, concentration, etc. Its daily rutines made just for your brain. You’ll feel elevated!

 

 

3. Zipongo 

We all know food during college is a big hassle, and sometimes you want to have a delicious and healthy meal, but you end up eating junk food. Zipongo is the app where you can find all of those delicious, healthy recipes and nutrition guidance tailored for your specific goals and food preferences. It even offers nutrition plans!

 

 

4. The 7 Minute Workout

Only if you are an athlete or a very disciplined person can you make time for excercise when you’ve had a very long and tiring day at college. This app is here to save your day! Hence the name: it provides you a 7 minute full body workout. You are guided by a voice that tells you exactly what to do, and the app also offers illustrations, text and videos. You only need your body, a wall, the floor, and a chair! 

 

 

5. Brief Me

Trying to be an adult and keep up with all the things that happen around the world can also be very stressful, but this app is perfect for keeping yourself on the know! It identifies the top 10 most consumed and shared news and articles of the moment. It also has sections with the tops news of different categories: business, sports, technology, politics, world, and entertainment. You’ll always be updated!

 

 

6. One List

Who doesn’t love the ol’ to-do list?! Well, here’s an app so that you don’t have to go through that moment where you lose the to-do list you wrote with so much effort. You can make your list, and also have the option to prioritize your everyday life. So less clutter, more to-do lists!

 

 

7. YogaGlo 

We all know that one yogi that has had to let yoga sessions go because of college! But there’s an app for them too! Since it’s on your phone, you can practice whenever you want, wherever you want, and the classes can be taken online or offline. You can access over 3,000 classes for every level. Get that yoga mat ready!

 

 

8. Snapguide

Tired of calling your mom so you can ask her how to do everything? This is the app for you! It has numerous how-to guides for recipes, DIY projects, fashion, make-up, tech tips and lifehacks. You won’t call her again! (Well, maybe!)
