Lovers get their heart broken because they let it go too fast

Romantics get it broken because they want something to last

Poets always cry because they feel life so deeply

And dreamers are the ones least likely to fall asleep

Your voice is like a melody

It must be why my chest leaps every time I hear you speak

And why my tears stream the minute you walk away

I reach out for you when you’re not there

Like your presence from before managed to linger in the air

Sometimes I graze my body and pretend that it’s you

But I know once we meet again it’s your touch that I’ll long for

I don’t know if you’re the love of my life, but I know you’re the love of my right now

So sit down and turn the lights out

And let me hear you sing
