Your Guide For A Girls’ Night In

Spending a Friday night in with friends? Or just having some alone time? Here’s your guide to having the perfect girls’ night in.

After a stressful week, all I want to do is unwind and relax. This can either be with my friends or by myself having a self-care night. Here’s a list of my favorite things to do during a chill night.

1. Painting

Ever since quarantine, one of my favorite relaxing activities to do is paint. I love going to Walmart or even the dollar store to buy affordable materials and fun snacks to have on the side, then going home to turn on a movie and free paint. Maybe if you’re feeling artistic, you can look up a YouTube tutorial and try out a challenging painting! These always turn out to be cute gifts to give to a friend or family member.

2. Baking

Something my friends and I love to do when having a sleepover is bake. This can either be a simple out-of-the-box brownie mix or cookies made from scratch — whatever you feel up to. You can even turn it into a cookie decorating competition to see who can be the most creative with their cookie, or just enjoy what you’ve baked.

3. Games

Everybody loves a card game, especially when hanging out with a group of friends. There are the classic games, UNO and Poker, or there are new fun ones you can buy at the store called Hot Seat and Girl Code. This is always a hot choice when hosting a sleepover and always a good time.

4. Reading

When having a night to yourself and you want to unwind, the best thing to do is to pick up a good book. I find that this is a good way to clear my mind, especially with a cup of hot tea on the side. Nothing beats alone time and a good read. My current favorite book is Reminders of Him by Colleen Hoover which I definitely recommend!

Those were just a couple of activities that I would include in my ideal night in. The last but not least thing that I love to do when I’m having a chill night in is to sleep! It’s important to prioritize downtime and doing what makes you happy after having a long and hard week.
