Approaching my final semester here at the University of New Hampshire, I look back on my last few years with bitter sweet emotions. Although I am sad to see this journey come to an end, I am excited to see what my future holds.

Throughout this journey, I did so much. I tried new things and continued to progress in the things I was passionate about.

I changed majors and eventually took on a dual major. I met new friends and rekindled old relationships. I had the opportunity to experience various jobs and internships. I had the privilege of receiving new mentors and growing as a human.

People in my life that meant a lot came and went. But with new friendships meant new beginnings. I learned that God will put people into your life for a reason, to help make you a better version of yourself. I even experienced heartbreak, but also felt my heart full of love at other times.

Though I have always been an independent person, this chapter of my life has been beautiful, exciting, educational, and even sometimes tiring. I felt myself at breaking points, but also at the highs of my life.

Since my freshman year, I have seen myself grow, change, and adapt.

Changes may be just as simple as hating sushi in the past and now I enjoy it. Other changes may be more complex. Other things never changed – like my unhealthy love for pasta.

But I have learned to let life take its course, live in the present, and not allow future stressors to impact my “now.”

I would like to say thank you to everyone in my life who may have been on my path at some point in time. You are directly responsible for molding me into the human I am today, which I am truly grateful for. You showed me who I want to be, or who I did not want to be. And for that, I am ever so blessed.

Cheers to new beginnings, new chapters, and new things. Out with the old, in with the new.
