Over the past few months, I’ve found myself rewatching some of my favorite comfort TV shows. Friends is one of them! I love Friends because whenever I watch it, it makes me instantly forget about all the things I am overwhelmed about and I just continuously laugh. I’ve watched the series about 1000 times (okay, maybe a slight exaggeration) but it never gets old.

Here are my favorite Friends episodes (in no particular order)!

*Spoilers Ahead*

“The One With The Blackout” (Season 1, Episode 7)

New York City has no power and the friends are trying to pass the time at Monica’s apartment. Throughout the night, Ross tries to pull Rachel aside to ask if she wants to go on a date with him but is constantly interrupted. While Ross is talking to Rachel a cat lands on his head which always makes me laugh. Overall, there are so many funny moments in this episode which is why it’s one of my favorites.

“The One With The Prom Video” (Season 2, Episode 14)

Everyone gathers around the TV to watch a video of Monica and Rachel’s prom. The video shows them getting ready for the prom and Rachel freaking out because her date is late. Ross’s parents ask Ross if he could take Rachel to the prom and he agrees. He gets dressed and grabs a bouquet of flowers but Rachel’s date shows up at the last minute. While watching the video back, Rachel could not believe that Ross was going to do that and told him how sweet that was of him. This is such a cute episode and shows how much Ross and Rachel care about one another.

“The One Where No One’s Ready” (Season 3, Episode 2)

Ross invites everyone to a work event but everyone is far from ready to go. One of the most iconic moments from this episode is when Joey puts on every article of clothing that Chandler owns. Even though lots of little things happen in those 20 minutes before they are late to the event, they all leave the apartment with a few seconds to spare.

“The One With Ross’s Wedding Part 2” (Season 4 Episode 24)

In this episode, Ross says Rachel’s name at the altar while marrying Emily and it still shocks me every time even though I have seen the episode so many times.

“The One on the Last Night” (Season 6, Episode 6)

Rachel needs to move out of Monica’s apartment since Chandler and Monica are going to live together. Rachel has not packed a single thing and Monica is thrilled since she loves packing and organizing. Phoebe suggests that Rachel and Monica think about things they are not going to miss about one another since they are super sad about not living together anymore. After a little fight between Monica and Rachel they make up and it’s super sweet.

“The One with the Routine” (Season 6, Episode 10)

This episode makes me laugh every time. Monica and Ross are invited to dance at the New Year’s Rockin’ Eve Celebration so they perform their iconic dance routine that they created when they were little in hopes it will get on TV.

“The One with Phoebe’s Wedding” (Season 10, Episode 10)

This episode is one of the sweetest of the whole series. Phoebe marries Mike in a blizzard and all the friends participate in the ceremony. Chandler walks Phoebe down the aisle, Monica and Rachel are Bridesmaids, Joey officiates the wedding and Ross walks Mike’s family dog down the aisle. A few of my favorite things from this episode are Phoebe and Mike’s vows and how the wedding takes place right outside Central Perk which is their favorite coffee shop.

“The Last One” (Season 10, Episode 17)

This is such a bittersweet episode. Although I’m always sad that it is the last episode of the series, it is a great ending. Every time I see the empty apartment I cry because I realize that it is over. But then I just rewatch the series again!

You can find all ten seasons of Friends on HBO Max!
