I don’t think I even need to mention how stressful of a time it is for everyone right now. I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. Of course, as many of us are stuck at home, it can be kind of hard not to go crazy. Here are some tips I thought I’d share on how to survive being stuck at home.

1. Try to stick to your usual routine. It can definitely be hard when you are at home and you feel like your routine is thrown off, so it is so important to try as hard as you can to stick to your typical routine while at home. Even if a class are pre-recorded, it’s good to try to watch the recorded lectures/do work for that class during your usual class time. At the beginning of each week, try making a list of what you need to get done that week and what you will do on each day. Even little things like setting an alarm and waking up at the time you normally would at school and eating meals and working out at the time you normally would at school can help you a lot.

2. Keep yourself busy. If you get too bored, it’s easy to feel like you’re trapped in your house. It is so important to keep yourself busy so that way you are not thinking about that and you’re keeping yourself entertained and keeping your mind off negative things. Some things you can do are: FaceTime your friends, watch Netflix, home workouts, cooking/baking, face masks/skincare, and redecorating your room.

3. Have a positive mindset. Instead of thinking that you are “stuck at home,” remind yourself that you are safe at home (keeping yourself amd others safe). Mindset is everything.

4. Take care of yourself. It is so important to make sure you don’t get too lazy during this time. Remember to do your workouts, do your skin care, and everything else you would normally do. Trust me, you’ll feel so much better, and you won’t feel like a bum. Even putting on makeup and a cute outfit and doing a photo shoot can be a huge confidence booster and also something to kill some time.
