Are you the type of person who prefers coffee over green tea? Well, check out these reasons as to why you should maybe consider drinking green tea every now and then.

Weight Loss

Green tea speeds up metabolism and reduces the urge to snack during the day which means less calorie intake.

Improvement in Brain Function

Green tea leads to anti-anxiety effects due to the amino acids found in the tea. This reduces stress levels and makes you feel more relaxed. It also helps to become more alert and prepared for the rest of the day, if taken in the morning.

Reduces Risk of Health Issues

The antioxidants in green tea can prevent cancerous cells from forming and growing. Therefore, lowering the risk of various cancers, such as breast and skin cancer. It also reduces the risk for cholesterol, high blood pressure, and diabetes. It improves the immune system by making the body stronger and allowing it to fight infections.

Skin Care

The antioxidant and anti-inflammatory components of green tea reduce early signs of wrinkles and sun damage to the skin.

Bones

The high levels of fluoride found in green tea helps bones (and teeth) stay strong and improves bone density.

Overall, green tea is good for your health, skin, and body. The healthiest way to drink green tea is plain but you can add honey and sugar for a sweeter taste, or milk and honey for a more latte type of tea drink.
